Our 8mm Film Conversion & Editing Services
We can transfer silent Standard 8mm Film and Super 8mm Film to digital format so you can view your files easily on any computer, mobile device or on most TVs. Your digitised files will be in MP4 format, enabling you to easily share your movies or edit them further yourself.
We use a dedicated 8mm HD film scanner that scans each individual frame of film one-by-one using a progressive scan capture system. The cold LED light source built into our scanner ensures there is no risk of your film burning. Our scanner pulls the maximum details out of the frame, resulting in flicker-free transfers to digital that don’t soften the detail in the image and ideal for viewing on a TV screen.
Turn around time for our conversion service is usually ten working days from receiving your film. We will upload your converted film to our Cloud server where you can easily download the files to your computer and play them. Alternatively we can transfer your files to a USB memory stick*.
We are located in Wellington CBD so you can drop off your items to us or courier them to us.
Once your film has been converted, editing your movies will give them a professional look and feel. That special footage of your wedding day, holidays or moments with your children and grandchildren will look great and make you want to watch them for years to come.
We offer two editing services to bring out the best in your converted 8mm film - see below for details.
* Please note, to minimise the risk of viruses we are only able to accept brand new, unopened customer USB sticks. We can supply if required (see PRICING page for details).
